The U.S. Embassy in Kigali manages the J. William Fulbright program of educational exchange between Rwanda and the United States.

The Fulbright Program enables Rwandans to obtain advanced degrees and/or conduct research in the United States; at the same time, American scholars are awarded grants to study or conduct research in Rwanda.

This year, U.S. Embassy in Kigali is pleased to announce the annual competition for the Fulbright Junior Staff Development (JSD) program. The JSD is the largest Fulbright program, designed primarily to strengthen African universities through higher degree training (master’s degree; master’s degree with enhancement or one-year non-degree research for graduate students).
