DCM shared an Iftar dinner with Rwanda's Muslim Community
On Wednesday, August 1st, our Deputy Chief of Mission, Jessye Lapenn, and three of our staff members joined with members of the Muslim Association of Rwanda (AMUR) to share an Iftar dinner. The event began with evening prayer, and then a buffet dinner provided by the Embassy for the 110 guests. Our Deputy Chief of Mission spoke of the United States’ support for religious diversity, respect for Islam, and our gratitude for sharing an Iftar with Rwanda’s Muslim community. Happy Ramadan!
